Biography

Markus Cole, a self-producing Pop/Alternative artist from Toronto, has created a sound that combines influences akin to Post Malone with elements reminiscent of The Weeknd, and drawing inspiration from the animated visuals that characterize Netflix's “Love, Death, and Robots."

His latest single, "Heart Won't Breathe” (Jan 2024), is from the EP, Heaven on Hold (Nov 2024) and he is solely responsible for the production, writing, performance, and mixing of this release. “Heart Won’t Breathe” is accompanied by cyberpunk anime visuals that add to the ethereal themes explored in the song.

"I found my true voice through songwriting, and it's where I feel most at home,” says Cole. “Every beat, every lyric, is a piece of me, and I'm excited to share my world with my audience."

Some additional mixing and mastering for the EP was completed by Caleb Hyde from Eardrum Valley Records, which adds to Cole's impressive catalog of over 80 previously-released songs, including official remixes as a producer on reputable record labels such as Spinnin’ Records and Monstercat. Cole has also received support from world renowned DJ Tiesto along the way.

"I'm in a constant state of evolution, and I want my fans to grow with me. There's always something new to explore, and I'm excited to take this journey together,” enthuses Cole.
